This Is Home {7}

Ace kept watching his brothers play their video game, Parker acting like Ace was on occasion, while Brazil kept sitting right next to him - looking more grumpy than bored in everyone's opinion - and just being the elephant in the room. Ace was about to ask him what his deal was, when the one the question was meant for stood up and grabbed his wrist before dragging him into his room and shut the door. Ace blinked, not understanding the need for what just happened, especially when Brazil didn't explain and instead chose to lay down on Ace and Alex's bed, with his hands twined behind his head. "Um.. Why did you drag me in here?" Brazil didn't even open his eyes, seeing as he'd closed them once he laid down.

"Because I wanted to be away from a lot of people." Ace raised an eyebrow, despite the fact the other couldn't currently see it. "And you dragged me with you, why?" "Because it's your room, so you not being in here would make it weird." Ace nearly face-palmed, then shook his head and went over, sitting on the edge of the bed and laying back like the other was, though with his hands resting on his waist.

"Your logic sucks..",Ace muttered quietly, to where Brazil almost couldn't hear it. Brazil just shrugged, not caring what the other thought to some extent.

There was silence for a few moments and then Brazil sighed. "Alright, I'm just going to ask. What's been going on recently?",the blonde questioned, getting a confused look from Ace.

"I don't know what your talking about." Brazil just glanced at him, frowning slightly. "Ace, don't lie to me on this. For a while now, you've been frustrated and confused, and more recently - extremely confused.",Brazil prodded, Ace going over this in his head. Right, he's an ESPer, I forgot.. Guess he would be the one to notice how off I've been, even if I would rather it have been Declan or Zeke, or someone like that.

Ace was silent for another couple minutes, and when Brazil didn't get an answer, the blonde rolled onto his side to face Ace directly and be closer to him. "If you won't answer that, then who's the person that's been making you all flustered since yesterday?",Brazil interrogated, making Ace look at him in shock.

Atleast with this one there was no confusion, but Ace had to think of a way to word his answer. It looked like this was the thing that had a stick up Brazil's ass all day, so he wasn't sure exactly what to say. "I-It's just a guy that came to my house saying he knew who I was, and that he wanted to take me home.",Ace said. "Not to his home! He meant, like, where I was meant to live!",Ace said suddenly, since the first statement almost made Brazil's head explode.

"What do you mean where your meant to live?",Brazil evaluated, and Ace thought - debating on if he should tell Brazil what species he was and how old he really was, then deciding against it. Nothing good comes out of telling mortals. "I don't remember a lot of my childhood, so I assume it's like.. Where I was born or something.",Ace lied, though it was almost a truth, since Kodi did say he knew that Ace wouldn't remember and it was a place that he recognized people - if Tawni and Liliana were brought into the case. Brazil kept watching him for a moment, obviously thinking over what he said and searching for if he was lying, then rolled to lay on his back again.

"Fine. Just remember something alright? It doesn't matter if you were born someplace else, you have a big group of people right outside this door that would break apart if you even thought of leaving. They love you, man.",Brazil replied, his eyes closed once more. Ace smiled, wondering if Brazil was right. It didn't matter though, Ace thought when he turned his eyes up and saw the person who'd been talking with him in his dreams smiling at the two of them quietly. The aurora eyes shined and his smile seemed a bit happier, even when Ace sent him a message through his own eyes. This is my home. Marco blinked and dipped his head in reply, waving and mouthing that they could chat whenever Ace wanted, and he could meet some more of his 'family' when he was ready. Then the teen in the white and grey striped shirt disappeared, leaving the two alone until Brazil felt like going home and Ace had to make dinner.

Maybe I'll consider going with Kodi, but only if I can take my family along for the ride.. I'll have to be tsundere as hell first though. Ace laughed at his own thoughts, and for the rest of the day had as much fun in his home with his family as possible.
