Ace was sitting in Rix's office, laying his head on his arms as they were talking about his recent jobs. His job was to collect essence from people who were nearly enveloped in one or more of the '7 deadly sins', but recently there had been a drop in people committing the acts. There were different acts, that were equally and possibly more terrible than those, but they weren't in Ace's job description.

The ravened-brunette sighed softly, tilting his head up to see his silver-haired boss cackling slightly from one of the many odd and childish jokes he's made. "Alright, so I'm taking a 'vacation' as you call it.. What the hell am I supposed to do in the month or so that I don't have work?",Ace asked, realizing the fact that in the hundreds of years he's worked for them, he's never had a vacation. Well.. Not an official one. There was the occassion that Ace would have a life-time where he was too young to work at such things, so he would have other tasks or not be contacted what-so-ever. Also the life-times where he didn't live long enough, or think long or hard enough, to remember the contract.

Those were the closest things to a vacation he'd had, and the last one hadn't been for 3 life-times. Saying he had nothing better to do than work, would sometimes be absolutely true. Rix just smiled at him, looking like he was going to rip his face in half if he continued like that. There was another cackle, and Rix came over to pat Ace's head sweetly. Which was quickly smacked away in annoyance, but it didn't faze Rix a bit.

"Well, you could always get a mortal job. They're easy to come by, and with all of your skills, I'm sure you'll be able to get one anywhere you like!",Rix announced, clapping his hands joyously and getting Ace to raise an eye-brow at him. "So you want me.. To get a job among mortals - filthy mortals that I hate, may I add - and work with them for as long as I don't have work. Which could actually be a half a year, if things are truly as slow as they seem.",Ace explained aloud, getting a confirming nod from Rix.

"Exactly! I know you hate them, but you already live among them! How many of your other immortal friends have human jobs, hmm? Nearly all of them! And, FYI, you should probably work on making a couple more friends while your at it.. No offense, but you don't have the most socially acceptable people on your contact list.",Rix murmured, trying not to upset Ace with his comment. Rix had already gotten beat up by Ace once for insulting his friends, which he was as protective of about as much as his little brother, and he honestly didn't feel like getting his ass whooped again. Yeah, Rix was the boss and 'father figure' but he would never have the heart to tell their Master what he'd done. Losing the child would hurt far worse than anything the little one could dish out.

"Tch.. Whatever. I don't wanna get a job, but I guess I can keep working on my hobbies. I have even more time to do them out of the house now.",Ace sighed, dropping his head onto the desk again. Rix laughed, and petted him like an animal this time, though Ace stopped caring enough to smack it away. "That's the spirit! Now, why don't you go hang out with Apollo for a little while before you leave? He's been begging me to let him cut Kaede by accident, and I think it would be a lot better if you were here to distract him.",Rix told him, shoving him out of the seat and nudging him through the door, where Apollo was waiting quietly and pounced onto Ace once he got outside the door.

"I'll get the dipped blades.",Ace whispered, winking to Apollo as the other giggled maniacally, Rix shutting the door behind them.

Ace sighed softly, walking down the street and finding the apartment building that held one of his many friends - just because Rix wants him to get better friends, didn't mean he had few of them. He knocked on the door and got a groggy answer, which would have been weird for it being 5 PM already, except it was his friend Zeke. The door opened after a minute, half-lidded eyes looking at him until they recognized who was at the door. "Hey buddy!",Zeke greeted, throwing an arm around Ace's shoulders to drag him inside. "What brings you here?",the blonde asked, sitting down on the couch with one of his legs up on it - which Ace just sat behind with his own legs going over it.

"Nothing really. My boss told me I'm on a 'vacation' for an unknown amount of time. So now I have nothing to do until he says I'm back on.",Ace explained, letting his head hit the back of the couch as his friend hummed softly in response.

"You thinkin' about coming to work at the coffee shop with me? It would be fuuun~",Zeke offered, wanting to get some more time with his best buddy instead of just at night-time. Zeke smiled wider, tiny points of his fangs revealing themselves past his lips. "I know how much you love coffee. I can always taste when you've had some~",Zeke teased, his fangs getting slightly longer and pointier as he leaned closer to the smaller one next to him. Ace laughed softly and grinned, not moving his head but looking at the vampire in amusement.

"Nah, I love coffee a bit too much. If I worked there, I would owe more money than I make.",Ace retorted, letting Zeke hug him tightly. "Zeke, when was the last time you fed?",Ace asked, noticing his actions weren't just to the extent of teasing like usual. Nearly every time he came over, the blonde would put on the act of wanting to suck his blood - which wasn't very protested to by the smaller one - but this time he looked like he wanted to eat Ace whole.

"A week..",Zeke said guiltily, seeing Ace frown. "For fuck's sake.. You know that if you don't feed every 2 days, then you get malnourished. Come on then, go ahead.",Ace relented, tilting his head for the other to get it over with. Zeke watched him for a second, then took it as he was serious and went at it.

Ace woke up 2 hours later, laying in Zeke's bed under the covers and he stretched, a hand going to his neck to feel that the bite marks had already disappeared. "Good job, Zeke. Your getting better with the abilities.",he commented, knowing that the vampire could hear him from anywhere in the house.

"Thank you~",Zeke replied, coming in from the other room and sitting on the edge of the bed as Ace sat up straight. Veridian eyes looked around the room, seeing the guitar that he played at the coffee shop once stood up in the corner. "Hey Zeke, can I take that guitar for a while? If I can't work for Rix, then I might as well get paid for doing something I like.",Ace reasoned before the vampire could question him, not like the blonde really would, the older trusted him a lot more than he should get credit for.

"Sure! The coffee shop idea is still open, if you change your mind~ If not, I know a couple places that are looking for small-time entertainment.",Zeke announced, getting a grin from Ace.

"You really are one of my most reliable, Zeke~",Ace laughed, listening to everything Zeke had to say and suggest.

Ace walked around, looking at the buildings for some kind of idea where the building he was searching for was. He'd gotten the address, but it looked like whatever building he thought he was going to, wasn't there anymore or was under completely new management. He finally let out a sigh, putting his hands in his pockets and feeling the weight of the guitar that was in it's case, strapped to his back as he completely stopped his search and leaned against a lamp-post. "I should just go home.",Ace decided, opening his eyes when he realized he'd closed them - only to be met with a person.

The teen had dirty blonde hair, a lot like Zeke's but with ginger and brown streaks going through it to highlight his natural color, and burgundy eyes to go with them. He had snake-bites under his bottom lip, and a black netting tank-like-top with slip on long sleeves, leaving a small section of his upper arms bare. The top of the shirt also had what looked like a collar, which would need to be undone to take the top off. He was wearing dark red skinny jeans that hugged him tightly and also two swirling black and neon green bracelets on both wrists, that went with his medium height black-leather boots.

To say Ace was in awe would probably be an understatement, but he hid it pretty well - trying his hardest not to blush as he stayed where he was. "May I help you?",he asked politely, seeing the man keep smiling at him.

"You looking for a job?",the teen asked, watching as Ace put on a surprised front. "Yeah, how did you know?" The teen chuckled lightly, showing off his pearly white teeth. He's so cute.. Whoa! What the hell did I just think!? Calm down Ace, don't fall for idiot humans. It's bad, it never ends well! Ace didn't realize he had let himself blush that time when he caught himself off guard, but the teen looking at him didn't mention it.

"You have your guitar on your back and you look lost. Plus, I saw you perform that night. You were very good at the coffee shop, it's too bad they don't pay for entertainment like yourself.",the teen said smoothly, making Ace blush more.

"Y-You saw me at the coffee shop? Well, that's a lucky coincidence.",Ace replied, cursing himself for stuttering for no reason. Of course there's a reason, he's hot.. Stop that! He kept having his internal battle, while the teen just kept smiling at him and chuckled again.

"You know, the place I work at is looking for someone to hire for the front room. We need someone to entertain the guests while they wait.",the teen offered, getting an analyzing look from Ace - who wasn't one to trust people so easily - and then a hesitant nod. "Alright then, follow me.",the teen announced happily, turning around and heading down the street, the smaller in tow.

"So, um, what's your name?",Ace asked, wanting to know just who this stunning - so not stunning! - person was. The dirty blonde looked back while walking, still smiling calmly at him. "Jaime Blanche.",he replied smoothly, spinning around to face Ace and continue to walk backwards, extending a hand to shake. "It's nice to meet someone who can perform on your level.",Jaime added as Ace accepted the hand-shake slowly.

"Ace Kristopher. It's nice to meet you too. Thank you.",Ace muttered, looking around at the buildings. The neighborhood he'd gotten lost in hadn't been the best, and he was sure that if it wasn't particularly early in the afternoon, there would have been some not-so-friendly looking people out there to greet him instead. Ace instead focused on the one who'd once again spun around to face forward, having his hands interlocked behind his head as they went.

"So Jaime, what do you do exactly?",Ace asked, wondering where they were going for him to work. Or at least, to consider work. "I have two occupations. One being a host, the other being a revolutionist.",Jaime announced proudly, putting no emphasis on either one. Ace raised his brow a bit from the two options to start with, so he went with the more outrageous.

"What do you mean by revolutionist?",he asked with curiosity. Jaime stopped, looking over at a street sign and then at his cell-phone for the time, before turning to look at Ace directly. "Have you heard of the group going around and causing trouble for the government? All the people that are protesting against whatever?",Jaime asked suddenly, watching as Ace blinked a couple times and then nod.

"I think so. They call themselves RA, don't they?",the smaller of the two sounded, getting a nod. "Yeah, them. Those people call themselves RA in public, but only members know what it stands for. RA means Radio-Active.",Jaime announced, seeing Ace look at him curiously as his eyes widened.

"So your a member?",Ace asked, Jaime walking closer to him slightly and keeping his smile on brightly. Ace hadn't met anyone that spoke out so freely since his short time in America during the civil war and revolution period, it was always exciting to see people stand up for something. "Don't tell anyone, but I'm one of the founders.",Jaime whispered, seeing Ace's eyes widen even more.

"If your one of the founders, then your a Wanted person. Why would you tell someone like me your secret?",Ace asked, suddenly suspicious since not everything had added up in this guy's logic. Jaime just kept smiling, leaning in a bit and winking at Ace, making the smaller blush again. "Because, I have a feeling I can trust you. And my feelings are never wrong.",Jaime said smoothly, standing up tall again.

"I also have a feeling that you would be a great person to have on our side, alongside me and my brethren. What do ya say, Ace?",Jaime asked, extending his hand for a handshake once more. Veridian eyes studied the one before him for a moment, seeing Jaime take his hand back and reach into his pocket.

"I get it, you don't trust me back yet. If you won't join for me, then join for the cause. All we want is for people to find equality and let us be heard.",Jaime said, his eyes softening as he takes out a piece of paper and a pen, scribbling onto it quickly before he handed it to Ace. "Every night at 11 o'clock, we broadcast our message to the world and all our followers. That's the station. Just listen tomorrow night, I'll leave you a special message to show how serious I am, I promise.",Jaime announced, seeing Ace eye him again, but pocket the paper.

"I'll consider it.",Ace relented, getting a sweet laugh from the larger teen in front of him who turned around to continue to his actual place of business.

"I had a feeling you'd say that~",Jaime mused, flashing a grin to the darkening night.
